Fallawayinto
A domestic space transformed into a ruin overgrown with moss in the aftermath of grief, making the spectral presence of Donna Booker materially visible.
Set design and fabrication for Fallawayinto, a play written by Arielle Brown, directed by Nia Benjamin of Ninth Planet which premiered at Fringe Arts in January 2025.
“Now and then. Late 1960s through Today. Time is compressed. At the honey hole in waukegan Illinois - at the yeoman creek, behind the circle of houses, up next to and in the shadow of the illinois state national guard armory - a stones throw away from the tenderloin and trans gender district in San Francisco. A half step down the street from city of refuge church in Oakland. A discarded lowly place - to be transformed into a sanctuary at the end of the world.”
